Women of Worth
The Women's Ministry of First Baptist Church, called Women of Worth ("WOW"), believes it is our mission to lead women to walk worthy of the gospel by growing in our relationship with Christ, serving Him with our Christian sisters, and ministering to the world around us. This, we believe, comes from the direction of God through His scriptures:
Colossians 1: 10
…that [we] may walk Worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (NKJV)
We encourage you to come join us in our fellowships and make connections with other women. The WOW ministry has several opportunities through which we hope all women can find avenues to serve. Many of our ladies choose to be part of our Prayer Chain via phone and email, giving us an opportunity to pray for the needs of others as they arise in the lives of our church's families, friends, missionaries and other Godly ministries throughout the world. We also seek to serve others in our community in practical ways, and to reach out to other women with the love of Christ and ourselves.
Baptist Young Women
Baptist Young Women is a smaller group within the overall Women's Ministry here at FBC, specifically designed for women under 50 to have fellowship and build friendships with one another. BYW meets on the first Friday night of each month in the home of one of the ladies for devotional time, prayer, snacks, playing "NERTZ" and building our relationships. We'd love to see you there!
