Associate Pastor Charles Jackson
Assoc. Pastor Charles Jackson and family
Charles was born and raised in Mississippi, close to Natchez. His parents are both retired school teachers. His wife, April, is a native of Colorado, and they met here at one of the local churches where Charles was on staff. They have been married seven years, and have two wonderful children, Geovonnie and Charity. Charles and April share a strong faith in the Lord and have trusted Him as Lord and Savior.
The Lord has allowed Charles to serve churches in Mississippi, Hawaii and Colorado in both worship and youth ministry. During the past few years, Charles has led in revivals, as a long-term interim, and church supply work. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Delta State University, and is working toward completing his Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Theological Seminary, having completed over half the coursework.
Charles began as Interim Worship Pastor here at First Baptist on April 18, 2005, and both he and April are excited about the opportunity God has laid before them here. On October 23, 2005, First Bpatist Church elected to bring Charles on staff as Worship Pastor, and we look forward to how God is going to use this partnership to impact the community for Christ.
Charles’s passions include his family, seeing God’s people worship, counseling and Southern cooking.
